Ecotools bamboo foundation brush review and photos

Ecotools bamboo foundation brush is perfect for applying liquid foundation. The bristles are nice and soft and will not scratch your skin but still are dense and firm enough to pick up the foundation. The size of the bristles is good enough to pick up the product and they cover large areas of the face in a small amount of time. The small head size allows me to use it around my eye and nose area.

For me the ecotools bamboo foundation brush does apply foundation like a pro would. With gentle strokes as if you are painting your face, apply the foundation all over your face and continue with the strokes till your foundation blends in completely. I love the way my face looks after I apply my foundation with this brush. It looks almost flawless with an excellent coverage. The foundation blends into my skin very easily. In case you feel your foundation applies streaky (happens if product formulation is thick) add a few drops of water to the foundation before application.

Ecotools bamboo smudge eyeliner brush review and photos

Ecotools bamboo smudge eyeliner brush does a wonderful job of blending eyeliner or eyeshadow on my lash line. For a soft smokey look, blend the liner or smudge the shadow across the lash line. It is a nice, dense brush great for my smokey eye look. It’s nice, soft bristles are perfect to blend lines around the eyes.

Ecotools bamboo smudge eyeliner brush is a lovely soft brush. It’s small enough to get to the corners of my eyes. The brush is gentle and very precise and works great for applying shadow to the inner corner of the eye. I also use it to apply highlighter on the inner corner of the eye.

Ecotools bamboo smudge eyeliner brush has a built in pencil sharpener which is an added bonus. It is easy to use and works great! I love the added sharpener, makes it convenient for traveling. It’s a very inexpensive brush, plus it’s eco-friendly, can’t get any better than that!

Ecotools bamboo finishing kabuki brush review and photos

This is one of my favourite brushes from ecotools.

and why? because,

I applies makeup like a pro. It applies my face powder flawlessly giving an airbrushed, finished, polished look like a professional makeup artist has done your makeup.

I use this brush to apply my powder foundation and it works beautifully, giving me an airbrushed finish. The bristles are extremely soft and very easy to work with. It also works wonderfully with blushers and any other pressed or powder makeup.

This brush has duo fibers which look sparse at the top but believe me there are lots of bristles in this brush. They pick up the product well and enough, never more than needed, so no wasting at all.

I apply powders using the back-forth or circular or buffing movement with this brush and whatever makeup application technique you choose the duo fibres apply makeup flawlessly. I have noticed that other dense brushes pull your skin specially on the cheekbones when applying product in circular or buffing action, but not this one. Dense brushes with lots of bristles even though soft can tug your skin while buffing, because the denseness due to closely packed bristles allows very little room for the bristles to bend freely as compared to the brushes with sparse bristles. The bristles are so soft and sparse at top that they bend instead of pulling your skin. So you can buff or use circular movements without tugging your skin This sparseness also allows for swift movements without the pulling, so you can move your hands faster.

And the softness test?

Believe me this one is the softest as compared to the blusher and powder brushes from ecotools. The bristles donot prick or irritate no matter how many times you move this brush over your face.

The brush says “kabuki” but unlike traditional kabuki brushes has a beautiful shape instead. I love the shape, the handle is also sturdy and big enough for a good grip.

Ecotools bamboo powder brush review and photos

This is a wonderful brush for applying loose and pressed powder. This brush is a bit flat and tapered, the bristles are soft and fluffy. It is perfect for applying a thin dusting of your setting powder over your foundation for a more natural look. This might not be the right brush for you if you prefer a heavier application because instead of giving heavy application it actually brushes away excess powder from your skin. It is a nice brush to remove excess makeup or apply a thin layer of powder by lightly sweeping it over your face.

Ecotools bamboo bronzer brush review and photos

This brush is probably one of the softest brush you will ever come upon. It is cute and soft as a bunny. I love it soooo much. I keep petting my face with it, it’s that soft.

It looks a bit too large, but since it is slightly tapered, it is perfect for blending just about anything. It is a multi-tasking brush and not just a bronzer brush as the name suggests. I use this brush to put on my foundation. It blends really nicely and makes my foundation look flawless. This is also an ideal brush for powder, as it is designed like a kabuki on a handle. It applies powder very evenly and is also great for applying and blending out blusher and bronzer for a very natural look. The bristles are so densely packed that it picks up enough product and works very well all over your face. Even after several washes, this brush didn’t shed a single bristle.

Two soft bunnies cuddling each other.

Muchi muchi.

Look at those shiny, soft bristles. The softness test – Passed.

Ecotools Bamboo 6 Piece Brush Set review

Ecotools says, “This iconic Ecotools Set is what started it all!”
The Set Includes:
Blush Brush
Eye Shading Brush
Angled Eyeliner Brush
Concealer Brush
Lash & Brow Groomer
Hemp & Cotton Case (Room for both brushes & makeup essentials!)

Ecotools Bamboo brushes are made from bamboo handles, recycled aluminum ferrules and incredibly soft, cruelty-free taklon bristles. The best part about these brushes is that you can afford them. All brushes keep their shape even after several washes. They donot shed and are long-lasting.

1) Blush Brush – This is soft and fluffy and great to apply any blusher from Bourjois to Mac to Nars. It is my favourite blush brush, it is incredibly soft. These soft bristles bend easily and are not scratchy at all. It is oval in shape.

2) Eye Shading Brush – It is a bit stiff, okay type of brush. It doesnot pick up powder eyeshadow well. You have to keep on repeating the action (pick up eyeshadow and apply) to get the intensity right. The eye shading brush is too big for eye shadow application but is good for blending.

3) Angled Eyeliner Brush – This is a great brush. It can be used to tightline, draw a sharp, precise eyeliner, apply a darker eyeshadow to the lashline, can also be used with gel eyeliner and to fill in the brows. It is perfect for lining your eyes.

4) Concealer Brush – Too big and stiff for a concealer brush. Its not that great for covering all your flaws, especially in tricky places.

5) Lash & Brow Groomer – It looks like a mini toothbrush for your brows. It’s so stiff and scratchy, even my toothbrush is more softer than this. I donot recommend this brush.

It comes in a lovely packaging. All the brushes are cased in a Hemp & Cotton Case, with a zipped pocket on one side.
