The staying of “Curious” is not very long but definitely good. It consists of top notes of magnolia and lotus flower, then the dreamy base of vanilla infused musk, followed by the aroma of tangy pear.

The transparent ice blue color bottle looks beautiful and fashionable. Two small pink hearts come in a chain wrapped around the neck of the bottle.

Here is a blue jeans inspired eye makeup look. Love it! Let us take a brief look at the history of blue jeans.
Today “Jeans” refer to pants made out of a specific type of fabric called “denim”. Earlier in 16th century, Jean and denim were two very different fabrics, and were used for different types of clothing. Jean fabric was used for lighter clothes that did not have high durability requirements whereas Denim was used mainly for workers clothes who required sturdy trousers. The major difference between these fabrics was that jean was woven with two colored threads while denim was woven with one colored thread (the warp) and the other white (the weft).
So, earlier jean and denim were two different fabric types, then how come today “jeans” means pants made out of a fabric called denim? The answer lies in the story of Loeb (Levi) Strauss.
Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis started making “waist overalls” (worker’s pants in America) out of denim and cotton duck. They knew that the selling point of their workers pants was its durability. Eventually, the cotton duck was dropped for the more comfortable denim. In 1960’s, Levi Strauss and Co. recognized that the young teenage boys called their “waist overalls” as “Jeans”, hence since then denim pants have been referred to as “jeans”.

In the 60s and 70s jeans was associated with the hippie revolution. During the late 70s and 80s, major fashion houses like Calvin Klein and Armani glamorized jeans with creation of designer labels. Today, it is a billion dollar industry with manufacturers using denim to make a wide variety of products like handbags, dresses, caps, shoes etc.

Glycerin soaps are easily recognizable from other soaps because they are translucent. Glycerin is a humectant that helps the skin retain moisture. It is good for the skin because it attracts moisture and keeps the skin hydrated hence it is a widely used ingredient to nourish and moisturize the skin. Glycerin soaps help remove dark spots, age spots, revive skin suppleness and nourish the skin to make it look radiant and flawless.
When choosing your glycerin soap, choose the one that contains vegetable-based glycerin. Since glycerin can be made from seed oils, animal fats or mineral oil, glycerin obtained from seed oil is more safer and cruelty-free. Glycerin soaps with added natural ingredients and essential oils help relax, calm and provide aromatherapy benefits.
Glycerin soaps that are 100% vegetable glycerin based are extremely moisturizing as the glycerin will continue to moisturize skin throughout the day. Since glycerin is hygroscopic, it helps moisturize the skin by attracting water from the air. Glycerin is one of the more typical and effective water-binding agents used in cosmetics. The moisturizing properties of glycerin soaps are one of its largest benefits.

Glycerin soap is more gentler on skin than most soaps out there, making it a good choice for people who have particularly dry or sensitive skin. From infants to people with sensitive skins or skin conditions (such as eczema and psoriasis), anyone can benefit from using vegetable glycerin soap as a gentle and non-irritating way to clean the skin.

Soft, smooth and beautiful lips can make your smile look beautiful and brighten up your day or somebody else’s!
Use Ghee -
Lips tend to get dry and cracked easily so you have to take special care of them to maintain their required moisture level. According to ayurveda, lips crack, and become dark when vata dosha in the body increases. The increased vata dosha can be normalized by including 1 teaspoon ghee in your regular diet and applying a very thin layer of ghee on the lips to help them heal externally.
Use a natural lipbalm -
When choosing a lipbalm always select one that does not contain any petrochemicals, artificial colors and perfumes. Chemicals can affect your tender lips. Always choose products that contain natural oils, waxes, butters. You can apply a lip balm any time, particularly at night. Make sure you carry a lip balm in your handbag or pocket whenever you go out. Applying a thin coat of lipbalm on your lips before applying lipstick helps the lipstick last longer on your lips.

Use a lipgloss -
Lip gloss makes your lips more attractive and sensual, instantly giving it a luscious and full appearance. There are plenty of lip glosses available in the market with different textures, vibrant colors, shimmers, flavors which apart from good quality contain many natural extracts and softening oils. These not only make you look fabulous, but also help you combat dry, chapped lips.
Use Lip Plumpers -
Lip plumpers work by stimulating blood flow to the lips, so many plumpers feel tingly and sting a bit. They enhance the pout by making your lips appear fuller and pouty.
Use good quality lipcare products -
With regular constant use of balms, glosses and good quality lipsticks, your lips can be made to look soft, luscious, and attractive. Products containing seed butters and oils, vegetable colors, plant extracts help in preserving the youthfulness of lips for a much longer time.

Use Sun protection -
Protect your lips against harmful sun rays all year round, even in winter when the intensity of UV rays can increase up to 60% due to snow reflection. Since lips don’t contain melanin to protect them from UV rays, sun exposure can lead to darkness and dryness. Always use a lipstick or a lipbalm containing SPF to give them the protection that they need.
Ditch bad lip habits -
Licking lips makes them dry and sensitive causing them to chap much more easily. Another harmful habit is biting them which causes bleeding, pigmentation and deep lines.
Apply Lipstick Perfectly -
Lipstick is an object of desire for many women and the most found item in our make-up kits. Applying lipstick is an art! It is always better to master and learn a few techniques and tips for drawing out the lip line, filling in the color or gloss.

Exfoliate your lips -
If you see dry flakes on your lips exfoliate your lips using a homemade scrub by mixing some brown/white sugar and honey. In the morning, you can also take a soft toothbrush and gently brush your lips after brushing your teeth, since the skin on the lips becomes more softer and easy to brush away after brushing the teeth.

I thought I should give this soap a try since it has an African black soap base and ingredients like shea butter, aloe, vitamin E, and rosemary extract. This soap is moisturizing, smells great and doesn’t strip my skin like many other soaps do. The color of the soap creates a gray lather, due to the ash added but it all rinses away clean.
This soap even helped clear up my skin and blemishes. If you suffer from severely dry, itchy, red skin, this soap will give you relief. I will definitely keep buying this although I do like the other nubian heritage soaps too.
This soap is a keeper for all seasons but in winters, since I need something more moisturising I switch to creamy shower gels.

I bought “coquette” after seeing the gorgeous peachy, bubblegum color. Moresoever I couldn’t resist myself from laying my hands on the beautiful bottle. Absolutely stunning looking floral design on the glass bottle makes it a must-have on your dressing table. Each nail enamel is scented with the Paul & joe signature fragrance which is floral and quite good.
It is a creme finish polish that goes opaque in 2 coats.

Loreal color riche lipsticks come in wide range of colors. One of the best in the drugstore market! I got myself the shade 295-Intense Ruby. I love the color payoff. The shade is well pigmented and stays put and does not feather. In the swatch below you can see that it is a lovely berry colour, it’s rich, it’s highly pigmented and leaves your lips drenched in lucious colour.

Lakme True Wear Freespirit d416 nail polish is a brown red color with a creme finish. It goes opaque in 2 coats and dries glossy.

I picked up two shades from this range after they caught my fancy. These are gorgeous shades with amazing coverage and very fine shimmer. I absolutely love the grape and the magenta color. The bottles are very small, and come with just 5ml of product. The packaging is pretty and cute. There are no names for the shades I guess, as I couldn’t find one, just numbers.
The shade below is “Elle 18 nail pops in 20.”

Hey girl, what are you thinking!

Sometimes acne is caused by a single factor and once you correct it your acne is gone. But many a times a combination of many factors is responsible for acne eruptions. First of all, you have to evaluate your diet and lifestyle to see what is wrong. Below I have suggested some simple healthy lifestyle changes that you can follow easily and will help you cure your acne.
Acne treatment is a process which requires patience to obtain optimal results. Acne can be treated and prevented by following basic hygiene, eating the right foods, doing exercises, and following a basic anti-acne skin care regimen.

Follow basic hygiene -
*) Bathe early in the morning – It is advisable to take a bath early in the morning using a mild medicated soap to wash away the oil that has surfaced on the skin and prevent it from getting reabsorbed back into the skin to further clog the pores.
*) Wash gently – When you wash your face or take a bathe be gentle towards your skin. Notice I said “gentle”. Scrubbing too hard will pop the pimples and spread the inflammation.

*) Harsh soaps are skin irritants – Never use harsh soaps to clean your face as they make your skin dry causing the oil glands to produce even more oil.
*) Use clean towel – because you don’t want to make your skin dirty again after having washed it clean.
Want to use a good antiseptic face wash but can’t find one. Here is “How you can convert your favourite face wash into an anti-bacterial one” -
Scoop out a small coin size quantity of your favourite face wash onto your palm. Add only one/two drops of pure essential tea tree oil to it. Add water to it and work out a lather. Lathering with water dilutes the tea tree oil enough to be applied onto the skin.
Alternatively you could also do this if you are using a bottled facewash.
Add a few drops of pure tea tree oil to your face wash bottle and shake really well to blend the tea tree oil with the facewash. The ratio should be 10 or 15 drops of tea tree oil per 100 ml of facewash. This will add the antimicrobial benefits of tea tree oil to your face wash.
Follow a basic anti-acne skin care regimen -
*) Wash your face thrice a day – with a gentle cleanser meant for skin that has acne to remove excess oil, dead skin cells and bacteria build-up. Excessive oily skin is like a dirt magnet. Bacteria and dirt combined with oil contribute substantially to the growth of pimples. Maintaining cleanliness of the skin is crucial to get rid of pimples. Keep your face free of excessive oil.
*) Use homemade tea tree facial wipes – Take a cotton pad and wet it with water, press it between your palms to squeeze out the excess water. Add one/two drops of pure essential teatree oil to it and let it spread, now wipe your face with this cotton pad avoiding eye area. Use a fresh wipe everytime you wipe your face. Wipe your face thrice a day, daily use of this tea tree facewipe will make your acne vanish.
*) Use clay based face packs – Use a clay face pack to deep cleanse your face twice a week. To remove the pollutants deep seated in your skin pores.
*) Use as directed – It is better to carefully read the instructions before using the product. The product must not be used for longer period of time than recommended as it will cause the skin to become sensitive. The acne product also must not be used shorter than directed as it obstructs its effectiveness.
*) Use oil free cosmetics – It is better to check the labels of cosmetics and skin care products. It is better to use products that are water based as they do not clog the pores of an already oily skin.
*) Avoid using oils, gels for the hair – It is better to keep yourself away from oily products like gels and creams for hair. The oils in these hair products gets transferred to the forehead and then to the rest of the face, which is not good for acne.
*) Avoid touching your face/pimples – It is also important to not to touch your skin with your fingers. Our hands and fingers normally carry a lots of germs. When these germs make contact with the pimples, it can make the pimples worse. Always keep your hands clean to be on the safer side.
*) Do not play with your acne – Avoid squeezing, popping and prodding the pimples. This would only give a face full of poke mark and scars. This behavior also hinders the working of acne products.
Follow a good lifestyle and eating habits -
The main cause of acne is the accumulation of toxins inside the body. The body expels toxins through excretion and sweating through the skin. If the body is unable to expel the toxins through excretion or through sweating, some of the toxins are forced out through the skin. This causes inflammation and pimples.
*) Water intake plays a big role in keeping your skin healthy and beautiful. It is recommended to intake at least 8-10 glasses of water a day. Drink enough water everyday to flush out the toxins and bacteria in your system and pores.
*) Eats lots of fruits and vegetables – which are natural blood purifiers and also contain essential vitamins and antioxidants to nourish the skin.

*) Diet and healthy lifestyle – Include whole grains, cereals, fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds in your daily diet. Cut out greasy foods and animal fats made from slaughtering them. Natural vegetable oils and dairy products such as milk, youhurt, buttermilk, butter, ghee are healthy fats. A nutritious diet enables your body to make your skin healthy.
*) Stay away from excessively oily and very spicy food – Healthy oils and spices are good for health but in moderation, excess consumption of oils other than what is required by your body only leads to fat deposits, spices have many health benefits but too much spicy food increases heat in the body.
*) Foods to avoid – sodas, refined flour foods, refined cereals, over fried and processed foods, alcohols, white sugar, meat, poultry, sea food.

*) Include Blueberries in your daily diet – Blueberries are very high in Vit C, they are delicious and one of the superfoods that fight blemishes. Aside from being a good blood cleanser, blueberries also help ease skin inflammation and fight the pus in the pimples and cure various skin disorders such as acne, eczema, and psoraisis. Eating fresh blueberries or taking a glass of blueberry juice daily is recommended to remove pus from the pimples and totally cleanse the inflammation. Other berries such as cherries, blackberries, gooseberries etc. cleanse the blood and keep the liver and kidney healthy and promote good skin.
*) Get on an exercise program – Exercise reduces stress and helps improve blood circulation to the skin, making the skin more healthy and radiant. Also, the sweating due to exercising helps remove the toxins from the body.
Honey Mask for Acne – Honey is known to have natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which help the skin to heal blemishes. It is best to use natural, raw, unprocessed, unheated honey that is free from additives.
Mix about 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg with about 1/2 teaspoon of honey, apply some of it on acne after washing your face and leave it for about 30 minutes, rinse with plain water. This remedy is also helpful in seborrheic dermatitis.
Tea tree oil for acne – Tea tree oil is an essential oil obtained from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia tree. Melaleuca trees are native to Australia. The Australian Aborigines have been using tea tree’s to heal themselves by bathing in pools of water saturated with tea tree leaves, or they would crush the tea tree leaves to make a poultice.
Tea tree oil contains two constituents terpinene and cineole which have antimicrobial, antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties that effectively treat various skin disorders, including acne.
Tea tree oil fights against the bacteria that cause acne while it also cleanses your skin. Because of its beneficial properties it is used in various skin formulations like creams, gels, oil, and washes. The best way to treat acne is to use pure tea tree oil. Below I am giving a tea tree oil facepack recipe that you should use if you want an acne free skin.
Homemade Tea tree facial mask – Mix tea tree oil with aloe vera gel in the ratio of 1 or 2 drops of tea tree oil to 1 spoon of aloe vera gel. Apply twice a week to clean skin for 30 minutes.
Should undiluted tea tree oil be applied directly to acne spots?
Tea tree oil is an essential oil which is concentrated pure essense of the plant and should not be used directly as it is. It should be diluted in water, gel or a carrier oil before use. Dabbing pure undiluted oil on the acne may cause redness, blisters, itching, dryness in some as everybody’s skin sensitivity is different.
Tea tree oil didnot work for you?
Because your teatree oil is adulterated with some cheap oils which makes it of no use. Get a reputed brand. Do a bit of research to find pure, undiluted tea tree oil. Be sure to buy a trustworthy and reputed brand.
Tea tree oil is dangerous if swallowed. As little as 5ml can be toxic to a small child. Keep it out of reach of children.

Shatavari for acne – Shatavari is very helpful herb for women as it helps in balancing the female hormonal system. Shatavari nourishes and cleanses the blood and the female reproductive organs. Hormonal imbalance is caused by too much estrogen in a woman’s body, an excess which is not balanced by progesterone. This imbalance can vary every month, depending on factors such as ovulation, birth control, stress, nutrition and exercise. Shatavari helps ease acne caused due to hormonal imbalance, which in most cases is.
Avoid constipation – Eating a diet full of fiber rich vegetables, fruits, and whole grains can help cleanse your body from the inside. Never kill the urge to go to the loo unless you are in a situation when you can’t help yourself.
Do not use corticoide – Corticoides are considered to be acnegenic drugs, they can exacerbate or even induce acne eruptions and it makes sense to avoid using them.
