Nutrition is not just vital for your overall health, but is important for your hair as well. Every biochemical process in our body requires vitamins. However vitamins cannot function unless minerals are present. Vital nutrients such as vitamins, proteins, enzymes, amino acids, carbohydrates, fats, sugars all require minerals for proper cellular function. Minerals are the most important constituents of every cell in our body. Minerals also help in healing and tissue rebuilding.
Vitamins and minerals are abundant in raw fruits and vegetables and the easiest way to fight any deficiency is to eat them in the morning or as in between meals.
Hair loss is not always caused due to deficiency but also sometimes due to overdose. If a mineral is present in excess quantity in the body this causes imbalance in another.
Hair is also the best medium for mineral analysis of the body. In case of acute hair loss visit a trichologist and insist on getting the Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis done.
Copper helps to strength the hair follicle structure, stimulate hair growth and prevents hair loss. Too much copper can actually cause hair loss.
Iron deficiency can actually cause hair loss.
Potassium deficiency can cause hair loss.
Silicon stimulates hair growth. Cucumbers contain silicon.
Zinc deficiency causes early or premature hair loss.
