Daily skin care is far more a matter of discipline than any other else. There should be a routine to follow everyday to obtain optimal results. And this routine should be followed seriously and steadily. There are just four simple steps to follow in doing a daily skin regime: the cleansing, the toning, the exfoliating and the moisturizing.
1. Cleansing
It is the first thing to do in all skin care routine because during cleansing, not useful substances will be removed from the skin such as dust, grease, pollutants and extra oil. These substances needs to be removed from the skin before doing any of the skin care routines because they may cause reaction to skin care elements that will be applied on your skin. Cleansing includes spotting of the skin with a good cleansing cream or lotion accompanied with a gentle upward massage on the skin. You may also use soft tissue or cotton to wipe your skin in a gentle patting manner, rubbing is absolutely out of place here. This process should be done at least two times a day; in the morning as part of complete skin care routine and in the evening. Aside from chemical cleansers, water is best for cleansing the skin using a mild soap. The benefits of having a good cleansing process is that you are not only making your skin clean enough but you are also refreshing yourself.
2. Toning
In all the skin care routine, toning comes right after cleansing. However, this process could be optional because proper cleansing could compensate this process. The main function of toning is to help remove all the traces of grease, dirt excess cleansing agents. But toning is very important if you have a prolonged exposure to a polluted area or environment. The benefit of toning in skin care routine is that it balances the state of the skin.
3. Exfoliation
Just like toning, exfoliation could also be optional process. However, it is also necessary to be done once a week or maybe twice depending on the quality of skin and environmental conditions. Exfoliation has been included in the daily skin care regime due to the tendency of the skin to replenish every 3 or 4 weeks. Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells that may cause the blockage of the pores. But excessive or rather harsh technique of exfoliating may cause damage to the skin. That’s why, when it comes to skin care, balance is very important.
4. Moisturizing
This process is the most important of all skin care routine as it helps skin prevent from being dry. Dry skin may cause too much damage since it will lead to the breaking of the outer layer of the skin thus, leading to dead skin cells. When applying moisturizers, an upward stroke is the most advisable and proven effective. Moisturizers results best if applied on a warm and damp skin. The benefit of this process is to keep the skin healthy at all times.
Aside from the skin care regime mentioned above, it is also advisable to put on some night cream before going to sleep to help soften the skin on a cold night. Also, using proper make up remover instead of just washing away is very important. Familiarize your skin well so that you will know the best things to do for your skin.

Thanks for the advice. I wish I can do all. I mean, here in europe i actually sometime forget all as it is cold and een washing before sleeping, when im too tired, i disregard… but i know it’s not a good habit… ^^
