Some Basic Hair Care Tips

Does having good hair always mean going to the salon? The answer in no. With basic hair products such as good shampoos and conditioners there’s already so much that you can do.

Try not to use shampoo everyday as over washing can also damage the hair. Shampoo should be diluted with water applied on the scalp area for cleansing, while conditioner should be used on the tips and strands of the hair to give it a shine.

After washing, dry your hair with a towel. But as you squeeze off water from your hair, try not to rub your hair against each other or twisting your hair inside the towel as this may cause your hair to tangle and break.

Brush your hair every once in a while with a wide-tooth comb to keep it from tangling. You can also use your fingers to do this, starting always from the tips of your hair. And lastly, keep hair accessories such as headband, pins, or ponytails handy to help hold your hair when needed, or simply to add style.

Side Effects of Sodium Sulfate in Shampoo Exposed!

Do you wash your hair several times until you get a nice white foam. Do you think foaming action is a sign of effective cleaning.

Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is an inexpensive chemical that is used as a foaming agent in shampoo. It is also used as a cleaning detergents in floor cleaners, engine degreasers and car-wash soaps.

Sodium lauryl sulfate can cause an itchy scalp in some people. This is because it strips the skin of essential oils and is a primary skin irritant. If you suffer from itchy scalp due to the shampoo you are using simply using shampoo without sodium sulfate can help resolve itchy scalp problems.

Some studies have shown found that sls is heavily deposited on the skin surface and in the hair follicles. The biggest problem is that the body does not rid itself of the SLS, instead storing it in the tissue, and over the long term it penetrates the heart, liver, lungs, and brain damaging our immune system.

Thankfully, there are more and more organic products appearing on the market. It’s time to start reading labels and choosing products that are much healthier for you.

How much oil does your hair really need?

Coconut
© Photographer: Siniminis | Agency: Dreamstime.com

Question:
I use coconut oil for my hair and it becomes a task to wash my hair as the oil doesnot come out easily. What can be done?

Answer:
Never put too much oil on your hair as your hair doesnot need that much, the extra oil just gets wasted and you need more strong foaming shampoo to wash it means more use of chemicals. Using a chemical shampoo will undo what the coconut oil will do for your hair.

My mom says use just 8 drops of oil on your scalp, 2 drops each on top, back and side of the scalp area. Coconut oil melts at body temperature and spreads on its own covering every inch of the scalp area. Leave on the oil overnight.

With little oil applied you can easily wash it off with an organic sulphate free shampoo or your own shikakai+ritha+lemon mixture.

A little wavy hair along with natural makeup looks more laid back and can just be really pretty in general. You can get some tossed curls by simply wetting your hair and placing them in a braid. After a few hours simply take the braids out, without brushing the hair, and there you go, your hair now appears to be naturally wavy.

One of the best hair growth home remedies would be a coconut oil massage. Use this if you don’t like thick oil massages; in fact this is one of the best home remedies for hair growth you can make. Simply apply this oil to your hair and massage into the scalp and leave on for 30 minutes. Wrap your hair in a towel and leave that on for another 30 minutes. Finally wash it off using shampoo.

Do Men Prefer Long Hair on Women? – The Answer is Yes

Do Men Prefer Long Hair on Women? – The Answer is Yes

By Lisa Musser

What length hair do men prefer?

The question has been asked, and they guys have answered. Here is what they have to say on whether they like long or short hair on a woman.

Recently a poll was done by researchers that concluded that men prefer women with long hair. This has been an age old question since the beginning of time. Do men prefer women with long hair, and why? Well we now have the answer to that question. Although this doesn’t reflect the opinion of every man, it represents the majority.

When you ask a man what length of hair he prefers on women, 9 times out of 10 he will say long. This question was asked on Yahoo Answers, and a few other sites on the web. And nearly all the men asked, responded yes, they prefer long hair on women. But also that it depended on the individual woman’s face shape and features. Not everything looks the good on everybody. Some women don’t look good in long hair, and some don’t look good in short.

In one poll done by the Daily Mail Reporter, researchers did a survey of 3,000 men, and 43% of the men polled preferred long hair. The celebrities that they thought were sexy: Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow and Rihanna. 80 percent of the men said they definitely notice if a woman changes her hair, while 18 percent said they rarely notice when a woman changes her hair. They also indicated that they like shiny, touchable hair without a lot of styling products. They like to run their fingers through it.

The results of a recent Poll:

Long and Wavy: 43%

Long and straight: 13%

Mid-length straight: 9%

Mid-length wavy/curled: 3%

The second favorite styles:

Classic Bob: 10%

Pixie Cropped: 7%

Long Bob: 6%

Why do men prefer long hair on women?

All the men who answered yes to the question, said they prefer a woman to have long hair because it sexy. There’s just something about long flowing curly or wavy hair that they consider incredibly attractive. Like a reminiscence of the paintings of the Victorian era, women with long dresses and beautiful hair are very alluring. They equate long hair with being very feminine.

And guys love it when you use a certain type of shampoo, because on long hair it is more likely that they will be close enough to smell that scent. Some men like the smell of coconut, or other fruity scents in shampoo, or even ones that smell more like perfume. When your hair is down, they can nuzzle your neck and smell your hair at the same time. That’s harder to do with shorter hair.

Another reason men prefer long hair on women?

They like to touch it, feel it and play with it. And they like to pull it. Not like when we were in grade school and they pulled on our pigtails. But grown up play definitely includes a little hair tugging. Or grabbing a handful while pulling you in for a passionate kiss. Men love long hair on women, it’s just a fact!

And wearing your hair pulled up into a loose bun with a little hair out at the nape of the neck, is incredibly sexy. There are parts of a woman’s body that men love; namely the back of the neck, the top of the shoulders, the hollow of your throat, the small of your back and the swell of the breasts. They love it when your hair is down and covering these parts. Like a gift waiting to be unwrapped.

A woman’s hair is considered her “crowning glory” according to the bible. This is not to suggest that you shouldn’t wear your hair short, but meaning that this is a woman’s most alluring feature. Just as important as a pretty face, nice hair complements you as well. Whether it be long or short, you should wear it in a stylish and flattering manner. Some women have features that go along with short pixie styles, and other women look better with it long. It’s really a matter of what looks good on the individual. Always go with what looks good on you, not what any body else says you should do. Ultimately looking your very best should be what’s important anyway!

What Does Your Hair Colour Say About You?

What Does Your Hair Colour Say About You?
By Sam Qam

There have always been stereotypes associated with hair colour. The most obvious of course being that blondes have more fun but aren’t smart enough to realize it. Aside from that the most common consensus is that blondes are sexy, redheads are hot headed and brunettes are good girls. I’m sure most of us can dispel these stereotypes with a few examples of girls we know. I happen to know a few brunettes who certainly don’t fit the bill.

The fact is your hair is your crowning glory and if it really stands out it can certainly make a big first impression. But what sort of impression?

Red

Redheads are said to be fiery, feisty, opinionated and hot-tempered. This doesn’t sound like the most positive spin but when contrasted with the other aspects such as exciting and seductive you begin to get the real idea of how redheads are seen. Natural Redheads are actually quite rare making up less than 5% of the population. As a result to pull of red hair (be it natural or dyed) you have to have some real confidence.

Brown

Brunettes have always been stereotyped as the good girls. Although not always the good girls everyone thinks, varying shades of brown can give brunettes a very elegant and sophisticated look. It is important that if you are dying your hair brown, that you don’t simply go for the one colour tone. Brown hair in particular can look boring in one shade. It’s best to apply a variety of shades (the more the better) to simulate a natural look. Quirky haircuts can really buck the trend of boring brunettes while still looking sexy.

Black

Black hair gives the impression of an exotic and mysterious woman. However black hair can be one of the hardest to pull off if it’s not natural. The fact of the matter is that black hair really puts focus on your complexion. If you don’t have very good skin black hair might show this up. Furthermore black hair can go dull very easily and needs good maintenance. A good conditioner like Aussie Conditioner is essential. Nicky Clarke hair products can finish off the whole effect. The effect of black hair however can be made more pronounced by mixing it with contrasting colour highlights such as red.

Blonde

Blondes are the sex bombs who just want to have fun. However it’s not all fun and games for blondes, as blonde hair colouring can be the hardest to maintain. If you do decide to go blonde you will probably end up getting a lot more attention, but it is key to find the right shade. Platinum blonde is really hard to maintain and isn’t for everyone, whereas subtler blondes can work for anyone.

Sam Qam used to be a part time stylist and recommended Aussie conditioner and Nicky Clarke hair products to many of his clients.

11 Growing Hair Long Tips You Can Use For Longer Thicker Tresses

Beauty portrait

By John Mentis

So you want to grow longer tresses and you are wondering are there any growing hair tips that actually work? The good news is that there is and so in this article I will share with you a few of the most powerful strategies to grow your mane.

1. The first step is to trim the ends of your hair. Yes it is true trims will not make your tresses grow longer but they will prevent split ends from occurring so cut the ends of your mane every 8 to 10 weeks.

2. You need to condition your mane. The best frequency is once a day, use a natural conditioner and never a commercial one. This is one of the best growing hair tips I can share with you because it keeps your hair healthy and elastic.

3. Treat your mane like china. You want to make sure you always get smooth or soft hair accessories and avoid heavy or rough metal parts that may cause damage your tresses. You don’t want to damage them as damage tends to slow down growth.

4. Stay way from the hair dryer. And sue it ever so infrequently, heat will damage the hair. If you need to use it,use a diffuser and a heat protectant spray.

5. If you eat well you will have a faster growing mane. A well balanced and nutritious diet is crucial for growing healthy locks. You also want to consume foods high in omega-3 fatty acids which will keep your locks beautiful, healthy, thick, strong and shiny.

6. The key to getting thick and healthy tresses is to keep your scalp clean. the cleaner your scalp the faster your follicles will grow. One of the best hair growing tips I can give you is to use Mira oil, it will detoxify your scalp, clean out your scalp and has enough herbs that stimulate the growth of new tresses. A natural oil will always keep your hair moist and help to grow your mane.

7. Stay away from tight hairstyles. A very tight hairstyle will pull and tear at your locks. so wear loose styles that will allow your tresses to grow naturally.

8. When you sleep, sleep with a stain scarf over your mane. It prevents tears and breakages which aid in the loss of your tresses.

9. When combing your mane, do so gently. Never comb or brush aggressively as it will damage your tresses. One of the great growing hair tips is to use a wide toothed comb, it will detangle your locks and also stimulate blood flow to the scalp.

10. Stay away from chemical based hair product and gels. These contain Sulphates that strip away sebum which slow down growth and that can damage your hair.

11. Get a scalp massage. Scalp massages will push blood to the follicles which will allow the right nourishment to get to your locks. Use the above mentioned Mira oil with the scalp massage. Take a little of the oil, apply on the scalp and hair roots and massage it into the scalp using the tips of your fingers. Use small circular motions starting from the back of the head to the front of your head.

These 11 growing hair tips will give you the mane you have always wanted. Be patient and stick to it and you will have longer locks in a very short period of time.

Minerals and hair loss

Girl with long beautiful hair
© Photographer: Goncharenko | Agency: Dreamstime.com

Nutrition is not just vital for your overall health, but is important for your hair as well. Every biochemical process in our body requires vitamins. However vitamins cannot function unless minerals are present. Vital nutrients such as vitamins, proteins, enzymes, amino acids, carbohydrates, fats, sugars all require minerals for proper cellular function. Minerals are the most important constituents of every cell in our body. Minerals also help in healing and tissue rebuilding.

Vitamins and minerals are abundant in raw fruits and vegetables and the easiest way to fight any deficiency is to eat them in the morning or as in between meals.

Hair loss is not always caused due to deficiency but also sometimes due to overdose. If a mineral is present in excess quantity in the body this causes imbalance in another.

Hair is also the best medium for mineral analysis of the body. In case of acute hair loss visit a trichologist and insist on getting the Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis done.

Copper helps to strength the hair follicle structure, stimulate hair growth and prevents hair loss. Too much copper can actually cause hair loss.

Iron deficiency can actually cause hair loss.

Potassium deficiency can cause hair loss.

Silicon stimulates hair growth. Cucumbers contain silicon.

Zinc deficiency causes early or premature hair loss.

Indian bride
© Photographer: Monet | Agency: Dreamstime.com

The ritual of mehendi is celebrated by applying beautiful and intricate henna designs on the hands and feet of the girl. According to traditional custom, design of the ‘baraat’ and the ‘doli’ are drawn along with peacock, kalash, flowers, leaves etc. Writing groom’s name on the hands is compulsorily involved in mehendi design.

It is said that the deeper the color of the mehendi on the stronger would be the bond between the bride and the groom. The mehendi designs is applied by a female relative of the house or by a professional mehendiwala who after applying mehendi on the bride also apply mehendi to hands of all the female relatives gathered for the occasion.

The mehendi ceremony is an auspicious occasion and has a festive feel to it. No marriage is complete without this ceremony. It is also said that mehendi is one of the adornments of the bride and it is required that the bride wears it. The women gather together to sing traditional songs. It is a custom that the girl must not step outside of the house after this ceremony.

In some communities the haldi ceremony is celebrated together with mehendi ceremony. The haldi ceremony consists of applying turmeric on the hands, feet and face of the girl. The application of turmeric brings a beautiful glow on the Indian complexion. A groom and his bride wash their mehendi applied hands in the same bowl with haldi(turmeric powder) as a part of a ritual in Indian Marriages.

Fats For A Beautiful Hair

For a very long time, hair loss is the very common problem in both men and women. But even though it is very common, it is also very difficult to deal with. It can cause embarrassment, shame, self-pity and others would even lead to depression. Hair loss effects are not only physical; there are more emotional problems that will arise from it. There are so many hair loss cures and prevention techniques. The problem is, you will not know when to cure hair loss. In fact, you will just act if you noticed that your hair starts to fall down from your scalp. And so cure will come late. There is always a collateral damage done before you can stop it.

Sad to say that due to the food we eat, hair loss problems may arise. It is because, nowadays, foods are rich in saturated fats. Saturated fats, as we all know, are always bad for the health because primarily it will lead to a heart attack, stroke or any cardiovascular diseases. These illnesses are the effects of high saturated fats intake. Before these things will happen, some things will happen.

Saturated fats will also impair or destroy your healthy hair follicles. Hair follicles are where the hair starts to sprout. Therefore, it logical to call hair follicle as the mother of the hair because it is where the hair is born. And being the mother, the health of the hair depends on it. So if you have unhealthy hair follicles, you will also have unhealthy hair. But why is that? It is because saturated fats, when taken, will always start in the veins. First, saturated fats will make the veins narrower, and the worst is that it will block the blood from circulating the body. The scalp needs blood just like other organs in the body but when the veins are narrow or blocked, no blood will circulate. Therefore, the cells will start to deteriorate and bacterial and fungal activities will also start because there will be no antibodies to stop them. The truth is, it does not only happens to the scalp but also other part of the body which also have hairs. Hair follicles will become unhealthy and will produce an unhealthy hair. If there is a hair in that certain follicle, the hair will become weak and brittle and because the follicle is corrupted, it cannot hold the hair firmly. The hair will fall.

The good thing is, if there are saturated fats, there is also unsaturated fats which will do good for the body. Literally, unsaturated fats are also fats but will give the body more energy to burn those extra fats and excrete more toxins. Unsaturated fats can be found in the oils of the fish and in flaxseed oils. There are so many genuine fish oil capsules that you can buy over the counter. It is advisable to take at least one capsule a day.

Not all fats are bad for the body. However, you just need to be mindful of the fats you’re taking in because mostly, fats are always bad for the health of a person. Therefore, a balanced diet is advised. Balanced diet means that a person should have vegetables at least one meal a day since vegetables are high in phyto-chemicals which has the capability of neutralizing any toxins which could either be from food or lifestyle. You don’t have to calculate your calorie intake as well as your calculating anything which comes into your body. You just need to be mindful of the good and bad food.

It is a bit confusing to think that fats could also help the hair becomes and stays healthy. But it is true. First, unsaturated fats never block the passage of the blood. Therefore, allowing it to circulate all over the body, including the scalp which can, of course, do some good results for the hair. Secondly, since hair is just some dead proteins, fats could also contribute in their growth and shine. Fats are needed in the scalp because they serve as fertilizers for the hair and they are also oil which could moisturize the hair to prevent dryness. Lastly, unsaturated fats help in getting rid of the saturated ones by boosting the metabolism of the body. So you are not just treating your hair, you are also treating your body as the home of your hair.

However, when hair loss problems persist, you should seek some professional advice because there could be some problems in your body. Always remember that when there is something wrong with your hair, there could also be something wrong inside you. It is just manifested through your hair. So you need immediate action before everything becomes worse.

It is undisputable that vitamins are very important in the human body. So it goes with the hair. If the body is well-nourished, the hair will also be healthy. Any kinds of vitamins helps in maintaining the metabolism of the body as well as hair growth and it also prevent the hair from falling. And so the importance of vitamins at every meal should not be taken for granted. The most important vitamins needed in maintaining the hair growth include folic acid, biotin, magnesium, zinc, sulfur and inositol. Having a balance quantity of these vitamins will result to better bodily functions, prevention from hair fall and regeneration of new hair. But, if you take so much of these, you will deal with a lot of health problems. So it could be better to take vitamins moderately. Or you better know the functions and importance of each vitamin so that you will have any idea how much quantity you may take to avoid mega-dosage. Let’s tackle each of the vitamins you will need for your hair.

Vitamin A

The very first is vitamin A because it aids in the production or reproduction of new sebum in the scalp. This vitamin also acts as antioxidant which means that it is one of the natural factors that pushes toxins from the body. When the toxins are pushed out of the body, the scalp could give space for the healthy cell to grow around the follicles. Having healthy hair follicles will prevent the hair to become brittle and dry. This process is very important because dryness of the hair will make it more brittle causing breakage and split ends and will soon fall off after two to three days. And that’s the beginning of hair loss. So when you notice that you have plenty of hair with split ends, your body just wants you to know that you lack vitamin A. By that time, it is advisable to eat food like eggs, spinach, cheese, meat, mild, fish liver oil, cabbage, carrots and peaches since these foods have greater vitamin A content compared from others. However, you must not intake too much of this vitamin because instead of preventing your hair from falling, it could be the primary cause of hair loss if it is abused.

Vitamin B

There are so many kinds of vitamin B but you will be assured that many of them are good for your hair like vitamin B3. Vitamin B3 is also known as niacin which greatly promotes circulation in the most oily part of the body including the scalp. Although this vitamin is essential to the body, the intake should be normal or should not exceed 25 grams a day because it will cause a burning sensation because the blood cells will undergo a certain dilation or oftentimes called niacin flush. And I am glad to say that this vitamin is found in brewer’s yeast, fish, meat, chicken, wheat germ and turkey. If the intake is moderate, it is essential for the hair growth.

Pantothenic Acid/ Vitamin B5

This could be the most common vitamin which can avoid the graying of the hair and would further reduce hair loss. This vitamin has the capability to maintain the color of the hair, which is normally black, and avoid hair loss. It could, oftentimes, be found in brewer’s yeast, egg yolks, cereals (whole grain) and other organ meats. And the recommended intake of this vitamin should not be more that 7 mg. If taken in moderate dosage in regular period of time, this vitamin could produce a radical change in the growth of the hair in the head.

Vitamin B6

This is yet another kind of substance which has the capability of preventing further hair loss. Because it helps in the production of melanin inside the body, the hair should remain or maintain the way it looks like naturally. This kind of vitamin could also be found in brewer’s yeast, vegetables, whole grain cereals, animal liver and egg yolks. The daily intake of this kind of vitamin should not be more than 1.7 mg. per day because it will surely create numbness to the feet and hand of the person. And just like vitamin B5, it also prevents further hair loss and preserves the color of the hair.

Vitamin B12

Obviously, this kind of vitamin is just like the other vitamin B family. Vitamin B12 can also prevent hair loss as well as the graying of the hair. Although graying of the hair is yet another sign of aging, vitamin B12 could make a difference. You just don’t have to go over 2 mg. of dosage everyday. Although, generally, vitamin B family is good for the hair.

Vitamin C

Usually, vitamin C acts as antioxidants to the body. And just like vitamin A, it also keeps the hair clean and healthy and is generally good for the health. In fact, this vitamin is not just good for the hair; it is also good for the skin because it allows the skin to regenerate faster. However, this vitamin is rather good for scalp circulation considering the fact that is should be taken moderately. Over-dosing with this kind of vitamin will not do any good and therefore, 60 mg. is recommended to be taken regularly.

Vitamin E

This vitamin is very well-known to prevent the signs of ageing. Well, in fact, that is true. Vitamin E eliminates the signs of aging such as wrinkles, stress and others. But one in its list is the graying of the hair which is also another sign of aging. Vitamin E preserve the natural color of the hair whatever it will be. And just like vitamin C, this vitamin also acts as antioxidant in the body. But it should be noted that this vitamin could also create high blood pressure if taken more than it has to be which means that mega-dosage of this vitamin could lead to further hair loss. It can be found in soybeans, nuts, green vegetables, vegetable oils and raw seeds.

Biotin or Vitamin B7

Biotin is just another branch of vitamin B family. This vitamin will surely take care of your hair loss problems just like any vitamin B family. Although, its specialty is to help produce keratin which is needed for the growth and health of the hair, vitamin E plays a great role of making the hair healthy. This kind of vitamin could be found in oats, walnuts, sunflower seeds, soybeans and green peas. The Best Solution For A Vanishing Hair

Hair with good nourishment will surely catch the attention of almost everyone. The shine of a healthy hair is breathtaking. On the other hand, bald people will surely catch attention too. But in a negative sense. This concludes that hair should never be taken for granted because it could be one of the ways that you will be recognized and admired or you could be embarrassed. It is very easy to have a healthy and shiny hair as long as your hair is not falling. So the biggest challenge is how to avoid your hair from falling down and how to let your hair regrow.

Some people are taking hair vitamins or supplements to regrow their hair. While hair supplements are good agents for the hair to regrow, proper diet is the most advisable and common means of letting your hair come back to life. And since hair-fall is caused by several factors like pollution, illness, weather conditions or even stress, natural remedies would be the best way to treat such deficiency. And so vitamins are of great importance when talking about the falling hair.

Yes it is true that vitamins can regrow hair. Vitamins prevent hair loss problems as well as treat dormant hair follicles to produce another one replacing those that had fallen down. These vitamins include Vitamin A, B, C and E. To be more particular, nutrients like Biotin, commonly known as Vitamin B7, is very important for developing stronger hair. Since the very first sign of hair loss is the weak hair, it is an immediate solution to take supplement like biotin to prevent further damages to the hair.

On the other hand, Vitamin A is also very essential in stopping the hair fall. This vitamin supplement helps the body to produce healthy sebum especially in the scalp area. And not only, vitamin A also helps in regenerating health cells in and around the hair follicles which will prevent them from becoming brittle and dry. Insitol, which belongs to vitamin B family, has the same function as with vitamin A – they keep hair follicles healthy.

Furthermore, niacin or vitamin B3 helps in the proper circulation of the scalp and functions almost the same as with that of the pantothenic acid or vitamin B5. Other professionals advise their patients to take para-aminoenzoic acid together with vitamin B12 and B6 to maintain the black color of the hair and prevent it from falling. The good thing is that, these vitamins can be found mostly in fruits and vegetables, eggs, rice, red meat and fish.

Vitamin C, which serves as antioxidant in the body, is not only good for the skin but also for the hair. Usually, this vitamin can be found in pineapples, citrus fruits, potatoes, strawberries and kiwis. Its main function is to help the absorption of iron and will help in maintaining the natural processes for a more beautiful, healthy hair.

There is another vitamin which is very effective in eliminating the signs of aging and also prevents hair fall. Just like vitamins A and C, this vitamin helps in scalp circulation. This is the vitamin E. Its main role why it is included on list is because it helps in circulating blood flow all around the body which means that scalp could also receive the blood needed.

Lastly, the known folic acid is the most efficient vitamin in preventing hair loss. Folic acid does not just stop hair loss but prevents it from further damage. This kind of vitamin can be found mostly in soybeans and nuts or you can buy supplements in your local stores.

While vitamins offer best results to the hair, it also has limitations. In fact, vitamins cannot really cure hair loss; they are just a part of the solution. The truth is, hair is made out of keratin protein and its composition does not really include vitamins. That’s why you need to take in other supplements aside from vitamins. And in this point, fats enter. It is not the fats that we know about. It is not also the kind of fats which are harmful to the body. The fats which are important in preventing hair loss are the fats from fish oils or capsules. Or you can take an alternative like flaxseed oil.

This is just a simple list of the supplements that you need to take in to avoid hair loss. Simple hair loss problems are usually resolved by these supplements but further than that, you need to visit your doctor. There is just one simple thing to do to help you with your hair loss problems; just eat a balanced diet.

There are so few vitamins for hair. Vitamins like biotin or vitamin B7, insitol, niacin or vitamin B12, vitamin B3, B6 and vitamin C are the kinds which do something good for the hair and the scalp. The rest of the vitamins cannot do something good for the hair. So you better know what vitamins to take when you have hair problems.

Another vitamin which is not mentioned above is the folic acid. It is also very essential to your hair and scalp because it helps prevent and cure hair loss problems. Well, it does not just cure and prevent hair loss, it also prevent any hair problems in the future. So taking in this kind of vitamin is not just for present use but also for the future because its effects are not like any other vitamins that would just last a day. Folic acid’s effect would last a very long time.

Folic acid is not just taking care of the hair but primarily takes care of the scalp where the hair grows. It main function is to keep the scalp as healthy as possible to prevent the hair from falling down. Just like biotin, folic acid helps in regenerating healthy cells in the scalp. It also helps in the metabolism of the body to get rid of the toxins found inside it. Folic acid has also anti-fungal and anti-bacterial effects which could cure dandruff-related problems or eczema. Here is how it works:

If the scalp is developing dandruff, folic acid tries to neutralize bacterial and fungal activities. Being an acid, it has a great effect on the growth of the said micro organism. These organisms could easily be paralyzed be this folic acid. However, when there are bacterial and fungal activities in the scalp, it is normal that some cells will be corrupted. Folic acid will help in killing the infected cells. These infected cells will soon because a white flake in which we call dandruff. Once the cell is fallen off the scalp, folic acid will help is producing another cell which is healthy and less vulnerable to bacteria or fungi. Therefore, hair follicles will become healthy when there is enough folic acid taken. And that is how folic acid works for the scalp. And for the knowledge of everyone, enough should only be enough. Not too much.

Folic acid’s activities don’t stop in the scalp, they continue up to the end of every hair. Primarily, folic acid goes with biotin. Both of them will help in the production of keratin. Keratin is the main source of life for the hair. Without keratin, hair is weak, brittle and would easily be fallen off the scalp. With the help of folic acid, keratin will be abundant in the hair. Therefore, making the hair blacker, stronger and healthy. It is also logical that a healthy scalp would always produce a healthy hair. And so folic acid’s effects are doubled; it keeps the scalp healthy to produce a healthy hair and protects that hair to stay healthy and beautiful all the time.

Now, knowing the capabilities of folic acid, you must know where to get it. Folic acid can be found in so many foods, ordinary or special, but it can be abundantly found in soybeans and nuts. However, if you don’t like any of the foods which contain folic acid, you buy some supplements over the counter.

So when you notice that your hair is so dry, weak and brittle, it could be that you lack folic acid intake. You must act immediately or you will suffer from the unpleasant effects of hair loss. Seriously, hair loss problems should not be the kind of problem that you will take for granted because you hair is very important to have your face a beautiful figure to look at. Dandruff and other scalp-related problems need immediate action because scalp is the one which holds your hair where it belongs.

However, not all hair loss problems are caused by folic acid deficiency. Therefore, it is always advisable to visit your doctor for some professional advise about your problems if you have some. And that, vitamins should always be taken in moderation. Too much vitamins could also destroy your good health so be careful.

Biotin For A Blacker And Healthier Hair

Falling hair is absolutely normal; when taking a bath, combing, rolling in the bed and any other activities. You can see your hair on the floor, bath tub and in the bed. And that is just normal. However, if your hair falls too much that will leave your head with exposed scalp, then you might want to know what the reason behind all the hair falls is. More often than not, hair loss is the result of some kind of deficiency in the body. And usually, that deficiency is biotin-related.

Biotin is another vitamin essential for the hair to stay strong, black and healthy. It is clinically-proven that biotin is indeed needed for the production of keratin. This vitamin also belongs to the vitamin B family. In fact, biotin is also known as vitamin B7.

Although, not all hair loss problems are related to biotin deficiency, but it is always a good practice to eat foods with enough biotin content because someway, somehow, biotin could help out the health of the hair in anyway. You will know that the reason for your hair loss is biotin-deficiency when your hair starts to weaken and becomes brittle. It means that the keratin in the hair is less. It does not just destroy the hair, it also causes some irritation on the scalp as well as your overall health is affected because you will drop your appetite. This kind of deficiency is often associated with anorexia, anemia, dermatitis, nausea and even depression.

If the deficiency is just light, your hair will mostly suffer from it and not your body. Therefore, going back to the hair, you need to always clean, moisturize and massage your scalp everyday to, at least, slow down the effect of the deficiency. You need to take in foods with high biotin content like eggs, liver, cheese, milk and other dairy products. You can also find abundant biotin in fruits like watermelon, grapes, avocados, bananas and strawberries. And since this vitamin belongs to the vitamin B complex family, you can get it from sea foods like any other vitamin B. Oysters and lobsters are always the good source of these kinds of vitamins.

The fact about biotin is that it is also known as vitamin H which is soluble to water. And that simply means that if your body has a high level of this kind of vitamin, it could be washed out through urine. The production of this vitamin starts at the intestines with the help of the bacteria. It also helps improve good metabolism of carbohydrates as well as proteins and fats which are needed to maintain a steady and healthy blood sugar level in the blood. Further to that, it is very important in the formation of DNA, RNA and other nucleic acids which means that it helps in the production of new cells in the body.

So what does it do to the hair?

Very simple. Biotin will help the hair in the production and repair of new hair cells as well as takes care of the hair follicles. When the hair turns dry, it means that the hair cells are dying without replacement and so the dryness will lead to brittleness. And if this thing happens be sure to avoid using any hair growth products or too much intake of amino acids to stop further damage. It has been discovered that amino acids can cause kidney dysfunction and it will neutralize the effects of biotin in the hair. Nowadays, there are so many shampoos with high biotin content. So if you feel that your hair is turning dry and dry everyday, try to look for the shampoo with biotin content replacing the shampoo that doesn’t have it.

Not all vitamins are good for the hair. So you need to know what vitamins you should take when you will have hair problems. And for sure, biotin is among the few. However, taking too much of biotin will also cause some serious complications so moderate intake should be observed.
