Confessions Of A Makeup Artist – How’d She Get Those LONG Lashes?!
By Michelle Bouse

We all know boys are smiled upon at birth with long lashes… completely unfair due to the fact that the majority never put mascara on them.

Well here are some secrets for LONG Lovely Lashes…

BEST MASCARAS:

If you have lashes and they are shorter, a PRIMER works great to boost their thickness and length.

(Try Origins Underwear for Lashes or Maybelline Extreme with mascara & primer on each end)

1. Apply a generous (not clumpy) coat of the white colored primer to your lashes… coat the topside and under side. Until lashes are white (and look very strange)

2. Allow to dry for few minutes. Separating any clumping before fully dry.

3. Once dry, follow with a favorite lengthening mascara.

(Try Covergirl’s Lash Blast! My current favorite!)

* Because the primer coats the lash, when you apply mascara the lashes are thicker in diameter and slightly longer in length!

You can also try the lash lengtheners with FIBER flakes.

Be careful not to get into your eye… they irritate.

1. Apply a normal coat of your favorite mascara FIRST.

2. Allow to set for a minute.

3. Follow with the fibers on applicator – but only apply HALFWAY up the lash to end. If you apply at the base you will go nuts with clumping.

4. Wait a minute and apply SECOND coat of mascara.

* Because the fibers grab onto the mascara you can lengthen lashes by dragging fibers out to end of lashes.

LASH GROWERS:

Love, love, love REVITALASH. If you haven’t tried it yet, RUN to the local beauty supply and buy it!

This product works GREAT – I have seen tons of success stories!

It runs from about $100-$160 a tube but with last 4 months and you should start seeing results within 2-4 weeks. It is crazy!

Apply product on clean skin like eyeliner before bed. Only once a day is needed – if you apply more there is no benefit.

Some people have a slight irritation to starting the product, if the reaction is NOT severe try every other night. YOU will LOVE this product!

TEMP LASHES:

False eyelashes work wonders for the eyes as well. These are mostly for events and can last for a few days. You can find a pro to apply or try it yourself.

STRIP lashes…

These come all ready to go.

1. Take out of box and measure on eye, trim if lash is too long.

2. Take a drop of adhesive and with a toothpick apply a THIN line of adhesive on the band.

3. Wait one minute for glue to start drying.

4. Apply strip at base of lashes gliding and holding down from tearduct to end.

Hold in place for 1 minute until glue dries. Takes a few times to master.

(Best glue is DUO – won’t harm natural lashes, but is made with LATEX)

(BEST lashes, ARDELL – fabulous!)

INDIVIDUAL lashes…

These come in Short, Medium and Long

Using a vary of sizes and layering them on top of one another makes for a great natural effect to the lash line.

(Try ANDREA or ARDELL flares)

1. Remove flares CAREFULLY with a tweezer at the base of the clump.

2. Dip knot into drop of adhesive.

3. Starting on outer corner apply longer lengths in lash line – not onto skin on eyelid.

4. Vary lengths graduating to short at tearduct.

5. Repeat application until no holes or gaps appear.

6. Look up and in mirror to see the shape and design of lashes.

LASH EXTENSIONS:

Do not attempt these yourself – find a GOOD certified, licensed professional!

These eliminate the need for MASCARA and are addicting.

Once applied, these can be filled every month just like artificial nails get filled.

There are so many options in the LASH EXTENSION world now.

Natural, funky, full, longer, dramatic and even colored or highlighted.

Lash extensions take a synthetic lash and applies it to ONE of your own natural lashes 1-2mm from the lash line. This procedure is repeated 40-70 times on EACH EYE, until desired look is achieved.

They are truly amazing and when applied properly, no one can tell they are not your own lashes and no damage occurs.

With the J curl, C curl, B curl, S curl, Y lash, W lash and Volume lashes a lash artist can truly customize any look for each individual client.

They last up to 2 months without fills or forever with monthly maintenance.

After 24 hours they are WATERPROOF and you just need to avoid OIL – this will remove adhesive.

So whether you need a boost for a day or want LONG lashes everyday – you have options. The next time you see someone’s lashes that are LONG and lovely, remember, you probably know how they got them!

The Best Rated Top Eye Cream Will Help You Kiss Those Bags, Wrinkles and Dark Circles Goodbye
By Ingrid Palmer

They say your eyes are the windows to your soul. I know they are the first thing that is noticed about you when you meet someone, therefore you would like to create a good first impression. However, if you have bags, wrinkles and dark circles underneath your eyes this will certainly not portray a good impression. It will cause people to think that you are tired or unhealthy and you certainly do not want to convey such negative message.

If you are searching for a solution to the unhealthy appearance of your eyes then I hope I can help you to find a top eye cream to repair the skin under your eyes. It is important to find an eye cream that does not contain any harsh chemicals. These will only make things worse and will not improve the appearance of the skin around your eyes.

Those bags and wrinkles could be due to several different factors. It could be you inherited them from your parents, meaning they are genetic, or simply because you are aging or due to your unhealthy lifestyle.

If you do not eat high antioxidant foods it will cause you to have an unhealthy appearance. Lack of sleep, not drinking sufficient water, as well as spending too much time in the sun without proper protection, all these can lead to wrinkles and other signs of unhealthy skin and health.

Whatever you put on your skin is absorbed into your body, so you want to use a top eye cream that contains only natural ingredients. Make sure to read the label of any eye cream you purchase to ensure it contains specially formulated ingredients such as Eyeliss, Haloxyl, and Homeoage as these substances were specifically manufactured to treat the delicate skin around your eyes.

You also need natural moisturizing oils to replace the oils you have lost from your body due to aging. As you age your oil producing glands slows down and your skin becomes dry, especially the area around your eyes. Look for natural oils such as avocado, macadamia, jojoba and grapeseed.

Another factor that affects your appearance as you age is the slow down in production of collagen and elastin in your system. Collagen and elastin are vital to keeping your skin firm, toned and elastic. Being able to produce high levels of these two is vital.

Cynergy TK is a substance that will enhance your body’s production of collagen as well as elastin. It naturally stimulates the production of these two vital proteins in your body leading to firm tight healthy looking skin.

Any top eye cream you purchase must contain these vital ingredients if you want to see an improvement in your eyes. However it is important you research to find the right product. You only want to use a product that is safe and effective and will give you long term result with no side effects.

To say goodbye to bags, dark circles and wrinkles underneath your eyes, find the best rated top eye cream today.

Send those bags, wrinkles and dark circles packing. Use the best rated top eye cream to repair the skin around your eyes. Visit: http://www.healthy-body-and-skin.com

How to Eliminate Dark Circles Under Your Eyes – Just Eliminate the Cause of the Problem

By Kathryn Lane

If you want to eliminate dark circles under your eyes, the best way is to eliminate the cause. Most treatments are cover-ups, do nothing for skin health, and have to be repeated over and over.

This article explains the most common cause, and shows you exactly how to eliminate circles around your eyes.

The #1 cause of dark circles under the eyes is leaking tiny blood vessels, or capillaries, under the skin. The skin under the eyes is thinner and more delicate than anywhere on your face. It’s easily injured, the capillaries easily broken.

For that reason, you should make it a rule never, ever to rub around your eyes. I know, that can be a difficult promise to keep to yourself, especially if you have allergies.

A possible medical cause is iron-deficiency anemia. You should discuss this with your doctor. Anemia requires medical treatment, and should not be ignored. However, there are millions of people with dark under eye circles, and anemia is probably the cause of a relatively small number of those.

For the rest of us, the problem is different.

What happens: When the capillaries under the eyes leak, the seeping fluid contains hemoglobin. This is the compound which carries oxygen through the bloodstream to every cell in the body. When hemoglobin is saturated with oxygen, it is bright red. When it leaks out of the blood vessel, it loses its oxygen and turns bluish or purple. Only a tiny amount is usually leaking, but it adds up over time and darkens, so you get dark gray or purple circles under your eyes.

The skin here is thin to start with. If you lose fat under the skin as you get older, it seems thinner still. So the damage of the leaky blood vessels is most obvious under your eyes.

Your genes play a part in this. Some populations, such as southern Italians and others, have a tendency to under-eye dark circles. If this runs in your family, you have a partial explanation. But if you don’t like those dark circles, you don’t have to give up and accept them.

Circles under the eyes can mean something different, too. Some people are thinking about the puffy circles under the eyes that a lot of us just call “bags under the eyes.” Bags are caused by poor drainage and loss of elasticity in the skin.

These two things don’t necessarily go together. Many people have dark circles, many others have bags under the eyes, and a few have to deal with both problems.

There is an effective answer to both problems.

A really good under eye cream or eye serum (two names, same kind of product) can do the job. It must contain ingredients proven to do the job. I’ll name two that do.

– Haloxyl has been shown in clinical studies to reduce dark under-eye circles by more than 60 percent. It strengthens the blood vessels, helps remove the accumulated hemoglobin and other waste products under the eyes, and rebuilds the delicate skin.

– Eyeliss reduced capillary permeability (the leaking), improved circulation of lymph under the eyes to reduce the puffiness, and gave the skin more firmness and elasticity.

They are both ingredients in a product I recommend to eliminate circles around eyes.

How to Cure Dry Skin Around Your Eyes

Eyes are called the window to your soul. They can convey a million things without you uttering a single word. However if not cared for properly they can become dull. The skin around your eyes bears the brunt of all those sleepless nights.

Facial skin is considerably delicate as compared to the skin on your body. The skin around your eyes beats even your facial skin at being sensitive and delicate. Besides the constant blinking, pollution, sun light, lifestyle, watching TV can all cause harm to the delicate tissue around your eyes.

Eventually crows feet, wrinkles and dark circles make the most beautiful eyes lose their charm. There are two ways to deal with these problems. Since prevention is always better than cure, why not go for prevention first.

Healthy eyes
A healthy lifestyle is paramount to preventing under eye ageing and dark circles. Your food should include fruits and vegetables in wholesome quantities. Also drink plenty of water to rid your body of toxins and moisturize it. Maintain proper distance from the screen when using a computer or watching TV. Human beings need at least 8 hours of sleep. Nothing can cause dark circles faster than inadequate sleep.

Sunglasses
Exposure to sunlight is another things that causes dryness of the under eye skin. Always use good quality sun glasses when getting out in the afternoon.

Eye nourishing creams
Use a good quality anti oxidant cream to prevent the occurrence of dark circles and wrinkles. Most branded products come in night and day versions with the latter being lighter.

Remove makeup
If you apply make up its imperative that you remove if before going to bed. Unremoved makeup blocks the pores and stops your skin from breathing. Try not to use water proof eye makeup as it’s more difficult to remove. But if you do, never try to scrub your face clean with water, soap or a towel. Instead use an oil based remover or moisturisng cream to clean water proof make up. Follow it with a cleanser and then you can wash your face.

Eye treatment creams
If you already have under eye dark circles and wrinkles try using a hydrating serum. The wrinkles can be directly attributed to dry skin. The hydrating serum will replenish your skin giving it the right amount of moisture. Most branded products also have ingredients that help in skin firming and lightening.

By Marcus Ryan

Does your remedy for dark under eye circles work? There’s no question that some are better than others, and none are 100% effective especially on really dark circles, but there are many natural home remedies that do a good job of helping. Here are 5 good natural remedies for your dark under eye circles.

1. Cucumber

This is probably the most cliché cure for dark circles and yet it’s also the one that works very well. Take thin slices of cucumber and apply them directly to your eyes. They will not only help to lighten dark circles, they will reduce puffiness, and be extremely soothing to eyes that are also irritated.

Lie down and then place your cucumber slices on your eyes making contact with the lower skin under the eyes. Leave them in place for 5 to 10 minutes. Be careful not to get the cucumber’s juice in your eyes, because it will burn. If you prefer something a little less messy than this home remedy, there are over the counter creams that contain cucumber extract so you get much the same effect and it also strengthens the capillaries under your eyes.

2. Tea Bags

Here’s another remedy we hear a lot about and it also is an excellent home remedy. The caffeine that’s in the tea bags diminishes puffiness and dark circles. That’s why you’ll find caffeine in many of the eye creams. Tea is also an antioxidant so it’s beneficial to the skin.

Take a used tea bag and then squeeze out the excess water. Lie down and place a teabag on each eye. Leave it there for 5 to 10 minutes. You’ll see an improvement in both dark under eye circles and puffiness. Just be careful not to get the tea in your eyes. Herbal teas don’t work as well, with the exception of chamomile, which has excellent anti-inflammatory powers to reduce dark circles and puffiness.

3. Potatoes

Peel a potato and thin slice thinly. Apply a slice of potato about 3 mm thick on each eye. Lye down and place the potatoes on your eye then leave them there for 20 minutes. It will reduce the dark circles significantly and it’s easy and convenient.

4. Two Teaspoons

Two teaspoons – bet you’re wondering what the heck are you supposed to do with those. It’s simple. Place them in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Wash your face with warm water, then place the spoon underneath each eye and watch the circles diminish.

5. Banana

Mash a banana and put a little under each eye before you go to bed. The potassium helps to reduce your dark circles. In fact, many discover they are completely gone the next morning. Now that’s a real treat!

So there you have it.

5 natural remedies that do a great job of reducing dark under eye circles. So what are you waiting for? The time has come to get rid of dark eye circles.
