Become youthful by eating organic raw foods

Raw food will give you clear, beautiful skin, shine to your hair and sparkle to your eyes. This diet gives you a youthful appearance. Some studies show that the average human lifespan of 65 years is increased to 100 years with the this diet. This is because it offers enzymes, vitamins and nutrients that are lost during the cooking process, as they get destroyed due to the high heat.

Some raw food dieters have seen their gray hair return to its natural color. Wrinkles, deep creases and age spots become less noticeable.

A Jump Rope Workout to Lose That Last Bit of Stubborn Body Fat

By Rusty Moore

Most People Have Never Attempted a Jump Rope Workout.

When was the last time you jumped rope? For most people the answer would be back in Elementary School or possibly Junior High. It’s actually too bad, because it is a very efficient form of exercise. Most people could easily walk for 15 minutes, but I would bet less than 1 percent of adults could jump rope for 15 minutes straight. Very few people, besides boxers, have ever seriously used the jump rope to achieve top condition.

What Muscle Groups are Worked While Jumping Rope?

Jumping rope will seriously work every muscle in the body. I’m convinced that it will expose your weak links. After your first jump rope workout, you will be sore in many different parts of your body. Honestly, I think my entire body was sore after my first jump rope workout. I was especially sore in my calf muscles as well as my abs. As a side note I will say that jumping rope will help you in your quest to get super-ripped abs. Your core really gets worked hard since you have to use your abs to stabilize your entire body to help you propel your body through the air.

How Jumping Rope Helps Your Body Release Fat Burning Hormones.

HGH is a natural hormone that your body releases to burn body fat. You have probably seen many ads for pills that will help increase your natural levels of HGH. This was really popular about 5 years ago, but you don’t hear too much about HGH anymore. A high level of HGH in your body is the quickest route to burning body fat! Unfortunately, low intensity cardio won’t help your body release HGH. The best way to increase HGH is performing high intensity cardio for 30-60 seconds or so, followed by a minute or two of walking or low intensity cardio. This is called High Intensity Interval Training.

What Type of Jump Rope To Purchase?

I recommend getting a “speed rope”…these run around $15 at most sporting good stores. They are plastic ropes without the beads. You also don’t want to buy the weighted ropes. Get a jump rope that is adjustable. You are going to want to adjust the rope to an optimum level to jump quickly without hitting your head. If it is too long, you won’t be able to jump at a fast rate.

How To Adjust Your Jump Rope to the Correct Height:

  • Set your jump rope on the ground
  • Stand on the midpoint of the rope (an equal distance between the handles)
  • Grab the handles and pull them up to your chest while standing on the rope
  • If the top of the handles reach above your collar bone the rope is too long
  • If the top of the handles reach your upper abs or lower, the rope is too short
  • I like to adjust the rope so the handles hit about 6 inches below my collar bone
  • If in doubt, go a bit too long and shorten the rope a bit as you get more experienced

Your First Two Weeks of the Program, Learn the Skill of Jumping Rope

Most beginners “double bounce” in between rotations. This actually allows them to rest their core a bit as well as their calf muscles in between rotations and means that they have a low level of core fitness. You will want to jump cleanly in between each rotation and keep the abs and core tight.

Your arms should barely move when you jump rope. The rotation of the rope should come from wrist movement. If you want to increase the speed of the rotations, simply increase the tightness of the circles that your wrist is making (this will make more sense when you start jumping rope). The goal of your first two weeks of jumping rope is to eventually work up to a point where you can jump rope for 5 minutes solid without having to stop and start again. This means that if you have to stop because the rope hits your feet, you have to start again from zero. You also want to be able to jump rope alternating feet, so it looks like you are running while jumping rope.

A Great 15 Minute Jump Rope Workout that You Can Customize to Your Liking

  • Stand in front of a clock or timer of some sort
  • Jump Rope for 3 minutes to warm up
  • Rest for 30 seconds
  • Jump rope as quickly as possible for 60 seconds
  • Rest for 30 seconds
  • Jump Rope as quickly as possible for 60 seconds
  • Rest for 30 seconds
  • Repeat this alternating pattern for 15-20 minutes

Note: For the 60 second sprint, you can do it in running fashion, you can learn how to rotate the rope twice for every one jump, etc. As you get more advanced, you will be able to make the 60 second sprint extremely intense. Also, if you want to take advantage of the fast heart rate and burn even more body fat, hit a treadmill or exercise bike for 20-30 minutes after your jump rope workout. Oh yeah…you might need a towel…you should be sweating like crazy!

Hit this Jump Rope Workout Hard and you will begin to see definition over your entire body!

Jumping for Life

People have enjoyed jumping rope for centuries. We know that even in ancient civilizations there was this type of activity for people of all ages. There are even hieroglyphics that depict the Egyptians with vines, and there are descriptions of these people using the activity of jumping for fun and self-satisfaction. Children all take enormous delight in the jumping involved in this simple exercise. Adults somehow have usually managed to lose the connection to the fun in jumping, but if you give this activity a chance, it may just surprise you how much you will once again discover the beauty and joy of jump rope.

While many people do not consider that this activity is a great fitness routine, it is indeed one of the best ways to get in shape. This is an aerobic exercise that also contains weight resistance moves. You have to jump and lift your own weight from the ground, which really helps improve thighs, legs, and glut’s. You are also giving your heart and lungs a really good work out.

Jumping brings you health and joy through aerobic activity

Most people understand the benefits of a good aerobic workout, but what exactly does the term aerobic mean? A simple way to describe this is to say that it means any of your activities that are ?using oxygen”. These types of exercises helps your body discover how to more effectively use the oxygen that it has. Combined with the jumping movement involving your large muscle groups, the activity helps to increase your heart rate and improve its performance.

Aerobic exercise on a daily basis will help your heart to pump more blood with fewer beats per minute. This results in a heart that is much healthier and stronger. Since the oxygen for your body travels within your blood stream, a stronger heart is able to deliver that oxygen more efficiently. Depending on the type of exercise plan you have created for yourself, exercising 20 to 60 minutes per day is generally enough to get both your body and your heart in peak performance.

Healthy Gains from Jumping

Aside from the cardio benefits, aerobic exercise has been shown to offer a vast array of health benefits. Including improving your general appearance, it can help you to get more rest at night, and help you to more effectively manage your insulin levels.

If you have issues with your bones and joints, aerobic exercise can help you to build and maintain strength in them. Since weight-bearing exercise promotes better bone health, aerobic exercise is perfect. Jumping rope is a very inexpensive workout plan that can help you to reach your target heart rate easily. It is simple to begin and doesn’t require you to have a lot of room. Taking your workout with you if you travel is easy; just toss your rope into your bag.

There are two types of aerobic workouts that can be done in most instances. One is high impact and the other is the low impact type. High impact is defined as any exercise where you feet would be off the ground, such as jumping rope. Low impact aerobics are considered to be those exercises where at least one foot always remains on the ground, walking is a prime example of a low impact aerobic work-out.

Use Care when Jumping

When jumping rope, even though there are several benefits there are also some potential risks for injury involved. This is an activity that involves jumping and it means that there are times when both feet are off the ground. There can be an increased risk for injury when you are jumping rope, especially at faster speeds. It is however, the perfect aerobic exercise for anyone to use, since you can reach your target heart rate and increase your speed as fast as needed for your own particular fitness progress.

Possible concerns that may limit jump rope activities

If you have bone, muscle or joint issues, low impact activities may be a better choice for you. Becoming tired while jumping is not uncommon, thus increasing the chance for injury. There is also the chance that you could lose focus on what you are doing, or just by chance, get tangled in the rope and trip. This fall could injure your legs or ankles. While jumping is simple, it still requires that you pay attention to the activity at all times.

Changing the pace and boosting your fun

If you find that you enjoy jumping rope, you may find yourself experimenting with different jumping styles. Changing your style of jumping will keep boredom at bay and will rev up your fitness level. Human bodies enjoy challenges, such as reversing the direction of the rope revolution, double-foot, one-foot jumping, and speed jumping. These all are fun actions but they will increase the chance of having an accident.

Choices to consider when jumping

If you determine that the benefits of jumping rope far outweigh the risks, please consider these tips. As with any exercise routine, before you begin see your physician. They will let you know if jumping rope is safe for you, depending on your medical history. When you get the go-ahead to start, then grab a rope and JUMP.

Next, you’ll want to choose the best place to practice your own jump rope fitness time. If you will be jumping indoors then wood floors or an exercise mat specifically designed for high impact workouts would be your best choices. If you prefer the outdoors, make sure you avoid grassy areas and cement. Choose pavement, or bring your exercise mat outside with you.

Over Weight: Society vs Self-Esteem

Being over weight is not just a physical condition. It is just as much mental. It is a condition that can take its toll on your self-esteem and sense of self worth. You are not alone. Very few people are comfortable in their own skin whey they are over weight. Only the so called Plus Models, who are the ones who truly represent the average American woman, are happy with themselves at the weights they are.
Society doesn’t make it any easier. Magazines, movies and television show you all of these beautiful women that are size 2 and present them as the ideal women. It is as if being anything but skinny makes you less of a person and if you are skinny you can do anything. The truth of the matter is that the ones that are sizes 2 through 10 are the minority. They are not the reality of the world we live in.
All of these factors along with the way you are treated by the rest of the world around you, as if you are some kind of slob, can and often does begin to erode your belief in yourself and your self confidence. You can begin to believe that everyone must be right. There must be something wrong with you. That if you were a stronger person you wouldn’t be in this mess to begin with and would be able to get yourself out of it. Depending upon the amount of weight that you need to lose you may be able to make some changes and reach your goals. If you need to lose significant weight, 50 pounds or more, you should consider seeking help.
Weight loss is a slow and sometimes agonizing process. It takes time and dedication to reach your desired weight. What took years to put on will take time to get off. Don’t be discouraged if the pounds don’t fall off quickly. With consistent effort and determination people will begin to take notice and ask if you have lost weight and tell you how good you look. These small words of encouragement can often make all the difference and help you to continue down the path you have chosen.
Being over weight is not a crime and don’t let others tell you differently. When you are mentally ready to begin losing the weight you will know and you will do what is necessary to accomplish your goals. It isn’t society’s picture of you that you need to be concerned with. It is the one that you have in your own head that truly matters.
