Madonna’s Beauty Secrets

Madonna is a beautiful singer actress and model all combined as one. She is also a mother of three. She has many secrets to keeping her beauty in tact at the age of fifty. She works out on a daily basis; she sleeps and eats healthy food. She completely avoids any kind of junk food because it can create skin that is oily and unhealthy.

Healthy exercise routine

Madonna has a disciplined exercise routine. Since the age of twenty she has kept up with her regular exercises. She has a very fit body that has resulted with he disciplined workout. She is super toned and she works out nearly three hours per day doing Ashtanga which is a difficult form of yoga. Apart from yoga she is also one who practices the discipline of Pilates regularly. She also loves to swim, cycle, and lift weights. She loves exercise machines and has a Cardio Wave and a power plate. Not only does her exercise play a significant role in her fitness, she also ensures that diet is equally important. She believes that when regular cardiovascular exercises, strength training, and flexibility exercises are done regularly serious health complications such as heart disease and cancer can be minimized or even avoided and bone density is preserved.

She knows how to balance and match her exercise activities around that allows her to gain the energy and remarkable stamina to get through her regular routine. Though Madonna may have a lot stamina and energy to run, cycle, jog and do all the things she does, most of us may not be able to do half of what she is capable at her age. But it is a good plan to have a few activities scheduled for a week which eventually lays the foundation for a good fitness program.

Madonna is a multi trainer which is why she continues to remain fit while aging. She loves Japanese food and once while in Japan she mentioned to the journalists there, that she probably eats more Japanese food than the Japanese themselves.

Madonna has gorgeous skin and she has managed to maintain glowing skin because she completely avoids going in the sun. She also does not smoke and drink since this can hurt the skin. Madonna has a favorite moisturizer known as Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream. This cream consists of all natural herbs to rejuvenate skin and assist in maintaining its level of moisturizing which counterattacks the natural process of aging. She nourishes her skin by using another face mist known as Dr Hauschka facial Toner which refreshes and rebalances the face during the entire day.

Madonna’s oxygen facials

Madonna frequently uses a facial known as the 02 Intraceutical Treatment. This treatment is better known as oxygen facial also helps lessen wrinkles, fine lines and assist in improving the tone of the skin. Lash adhesive can be used with the help of tweezers to apply it on the eyelashes. The eyelashes must then be allowed to dry for a few minutes before using liquid liner.

Careful consideration must be given when using eye shadow and lipstick in combination with false eyelashes. This totally depends on the situation. Today many women wear false eyelashes combined with lovely pink gloss. This gives a fresh look. The changes in the seasons can have an effect on the condition of your skin. Especially if you live somewhere with very harsh winters this can have a negative impact upon the health of your skin.

The different seasons have different weather conditions, and these changes can significantly affect your skin. Especially in climates with dramatic swings from cold to warm and back again. Not only do these climates wear down the bodys immune system, but also your skin.

If your skin is exposed to the elements then it can dry out, even start flaking, or worse, cracking (cracking and dried out skin can make your skin more susceptible to infection). You should take good care of your skin during these bitter winter months. As long as you are on your guard and take a few steps to protect your skin, you should be able to avoid the winter damaging your skin too much.

I know that most people only apply sunscreen when they go on holiday during the summer! This is not the right thing to do, you should apply suntan lotion every day of the year, even during the winter. Be sure to apply a sun screen with SPF of 15 or greater, otherwise there is no point. The sun reflects off the snow and ice that can not only cause snow blindness, it can also be damaging to your skin. It is also a good idea to use noncomodogenic sunscreens and lotions so you will not create a breeding ground for acne causing bacteria and viruses like herpes and canker sores.

Wrap up warm when you venture outside, wear a scarf that you can pull up over your cheeks. This not only protects the skin from the sun, but also from the bitter wind and harsh elements. Wind alone can severely dry out your skin and rub it raw, so bundle up and do not be afraid to use a hood.

You should exfoliate your skin on a regular basis, this helps to get rid of those pesky flaking skin, and also smoothes the skins surface. Exfoliation is essential to optimum skin health. There are two main types of exfoliant.

There is a chemical exfoliant or skin peel, such as the AHA skin peel, which works by killing off the top most layer of skin, to give you a radiant complexion. There are numerous types of skin peels and according to doctors and plastic surgeons the TCA skin peel is the easiest to apply and, by far, the most effective and longest lasting.

TCA peels are used in almost every dermatologist and plastic surgeons office for treating everything from dry skin and aging skin, to acne and numerous other skin problems and diseases. TCA skin peels normally run $500 to over $1000 per treatment, but have now been made available for in home use.

Cleansing oily skin

Your daily skincare routine for oily skin- should be cleansing and toning it 3 to 4 times a day.
Cleansing
Cleansing means washing all the bacteria and dirt from the skin. The basic need of an oily skin is washing it with a mild soap or a baby soap or a foaming cleanser. Soap effectively removes all the excess oil and dirt which blocks the pores. Experts suggest using the good old soap and water.
Every dermatologist and doctor has different point of view on which soaps and cleansers to use but once you find the product that suits you, you should use it.

Why should you clean, wash your oily skin
Keep the oil in control, you should keep your skin clean so that your pores are clean and they can breathe. The excess oil combined with the dirt, bacteria and dead cells clog the pores and result in pimples, blackheads and blemishes. Use a gentle cleanser and exfoliate your skin to remove the dead cells. If your skin is very oily you must wash it three to four times a day.

Why you should not over wash your skin
Sebum is the skin’s defence for keeping the skin healthy and lubricated.
Sweat creates an acid mantle on the skin. Oil and sweat form a barrier which protects the skin from bacteria. Over washing can remove this barrier and leave the skin free to be attacked by bacteria.
The oil produced by sebaceous glands is a natural moisturiser, it keeps your skin soft, healthy and wrinkle-free, so you should not think about removing all the oil from your skin.

What happens when you over wash your skin

One should avoid harsh products as they strip the natural oils. You may feel that the best way to treat your oily skin is by removing all the oil. But this is not the correct answer. The more you try to remove the oil, your oil glands will replenish the lost oil by producing more oil, so you see that your oily skin looks oily no matter how much you wash or clean it. Dont use harsh soaps or products which leave the skin taut and very dry, the oil glands react to this by producing more oil to compensate for the lost oil.

Seborrhea
Using chemical harsh skin products cause a oily skin condition called seborrhea. The oil glands produce more oil due to the loss of oil from the skin’s surface due to harsh skin cleansing products. The top layer of the skin shrivels due to dehydration caused by chemical products, the oil produced is not able to move outside the pore to the skin’s surface and this results in clogged pores or acne. In this case mild and natural skin care products are extremely beneficial to treat seborrhea and oily skin problems.

“Remember to floss your teeth,” dentists say, but many of us forget their advice. Not only that, we don’t understand why we’re supposed to floss our teeth. We don’t know that failing to floss leads to a dental domino effect: tartar, plaque, gingivitis, periodontitis, and teeth falling out. Yikes!

Accordng to a recent Harris Poll of 1,000 adults 35 years old and older, 60% of those surveyed knew little about gum disease.
You may not know much about gum disease or even care about it. Many of us put flossing at the bottom of our “To Do” list. Here are eight reasons to put flossing at the top.

1. Flossing helps you to clean back teeth that are hard to reach, the areas between your teeth and under your gum line.

Tape this list to your bathroom mirror, read it every day, and floss your teeth. Dentists recommend flossing after every meal. You’re the boss so get your kids to floss. Then everyone in the family can have a happy smile.

Causes of oily skin
* Stress and anger increases the body’s adrealine which leads to increase in androgen which increases the secretion of sebum.
* The oil or sebum is produced more during adolescence and sebum production decreases with age so the skin becomes more drier as we age. During the adolescent years, the sex hormone and androgen is responsible for making the sebaceous glands secrete more oil.
* Heredity- The oil produced by sebaceous glands is determined by his/her DNA. Our genes control the production of hormones. The chemicals in hormones stimulate the production of oil in sebaceous glands. Therefore our genes are responsible for the oil production.
* Hormonal changes- Pregnancy and menopause and contraceptive pills upset the hormonal balance which increases the activity of sebaceous glands. Several hormonal changes occour during adolescence so oily skin is common in teenagers.
* Using oily skin products also causes oily skin.
