:) Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday. Water cleans your blood and system and also removes excess heat from the body. Always drink clean, filtered water.

:) Eat a teaspoon of curry leaf chutney everyday or include curry leaves in your daily food. Curry leaves prevents hair from premature greying and keeps them darker (or your natural hair color intact) for long.

:) Get atleast 6-7 hours of sleep everday. Optimum time to sleep is between 10pm to 3am. A woman must be rested and asleep by midnight. If you are sleep-deprived, your skin will look sallow, dull, tired and saggy. A well-disciplined routine and at least seven to eight hours of sleep every night are important for good skin. Get plenty of quality rest each night. Keep your bedroom cool, dark and comfortable and sleep on cotton or linen sheets. Get to bed early and awaken early for clear healthy skin and sparkling eyes.

:) Regularly exercise, which helps increase oxygen, nutrients and blood flow to the skin.

:) Never stretch or pull your skin under the eyes. It is very sensitive, even the slightest pressure applied regularly can make it saggy and wrinkled.

:) Top coat keeps the polish looking shiny and glossy and protects it from scratches, peeling and also enhances its life upto 7 days. Reapply top coat if needed. Clear nail polish is different from top coat. Clear nail polish is nail polish without color and is prone to chipping and damage.

Exercise daily for atleast 10-15 mins at home or gym. Exercise tones your body and firms your muscles.

* Beauty tip – Dont use hot water.
Hot water makes your skin dry, breaks sensitive capillaries, opens the pores. Always rinse your face with cool or tepid water (not to hot or to cold).

* Beauty tip – Drink milk everday.
Drink a glass of milk everyday. Milk = Longer and stronger hair + younger skin + bright eyes + healthy blood and bones. Milk and milk products are the best form of protein.

* Beauty tip – Apply an eye cream every night.
The skin around the eyes lack sebaceous glands, hence the area can suffer most from dryness, would line, wrinkle and darken first.

* Beauty tip – Keep your eyes cool.
:) Place cotton pads dipped in rosewater or cucumber juice to keep dark circles away and cool your eyes.

* Beauty tip – Apply a night cream/serum/oil daily at bedtime.
Night creams help the skin to repair any skin damage and keep wrinkles away. Applying night cream daily will also prevent your skin from getting dry the next day. As the skin matures the oil gland activity decreases and so mature skins need daily nourishment.

* Keep your floral waters/toners refrigerated in summers.
Keep your floral waters/toners in fridge during summer so that they are ready-to-use-cold. Spray your face with these for an instant refreshed feeling.

Lip balm – Apply lip balm before appying lip color. If your lipstick is super moisturising you skip this step. Apply apply lip balm before bedtime. There are so many flavoured lip balms available in yummy flavours, some are tinted too and some sweetened with natural sugars.

If you are in a habit of licking your lips, understand it is jn ust a futile attempt to moisture them. It will only make your lips further dry, causing them to chap even more. Carry a lipbalm with you everywhere and apply as needed. A lipbalm with cocoa butter or shea butter as the main ingredient will instantly soften your lips.

Wash your face twice a day with a cleanser that suits your skin. Wash your face, every morning and night to get rid of all your day’s makeup and dirt before you go to sleep. but no more than thrice. Overwashing robs the glow of the skin, strips the skin of its natural essential oils & nutrints from he skin and causes wrinkles.

A basic law of beauty is that everyone, no matter what skin type, should moisturise. It is important to maintain the skin’s moisture content, you should use a moisturiser daily. Even more special care should be taken in winters, as the skin tends to become dry fast because of the cold. So in winter apply moisturizer twice or thrice a day.
